Leachate
In co-operation with our clients, WRS has developed a simple and robust method for local treatment of leachate called "pulsed overland flow". This technology has shown to be very area-efficient for the nitrification and oxygenization of leachate, and oxidation and adhesion of organic substances and metals also take place. When needed, overland flow can be combined with other treatment components, such as ponds for denitrification, energy crop irrigation for disposal, or adsorptive filters for the further reduction of metals.
